Fab-tastic from Night Owl Quilting

Susan brought this quilt with a bold and bright color palette.  The pattern is called Fab-tastic by Marlous Designs.

Susan chose the Popcorn pantograph and I used a bright lime green Magnifico thread on top and a coordinating Bottom Line in the bobbin.  Go bold!

I really enjoy the variety of quilts that come through my studio.  I may never make a bold lime green quilt myself, but I did get to enjoy this one when it visited!

Scrambled Eggs from Night Owl Quilting

Reneta made this adorable chicken quilt.  The pattern is called Scrambled Eggs and is by Art East Quilting Company.

The pattern cover shows a blue background which is lovely, but there is something about this straw coloured background Grunge fabric that just speaks to me.

Reneta chose the Popcorn pantograph which is an oldie but a goodie.  A straw coloured thread finished things off perfectly.

Knitted for Ewe from Night Owl Quilting

This darling pattern is one of the new releases from Art East Quilt Company and is called Knitted for Ewe.  It was made by Reneta as she once again acted as one of the pattern testers.

Reneta went for an '80's vibe with her color palette.  I love the minty green background fabric and the funs colours she pulled for the sweater from the print.

I immediately had the idea of the popcorn pantograph and Reneta was totally onboard.  I love how the grey thread looked likes wool on the black sheep.

This quilt made me smile for the ...

Patrice's String Quilt and 2 more from Night Owl Quilting

Patrice brought three quilts that she made to donate to her favorite charity including this lovely string quilt.

Patrice requested the Quilter's Dream Puff batting for this one as the top was quite heavy because the the fabric foundation the blocks were pieced on.  She selected the Popcorn pantograph and we decided that this was the perfect opportunity to use a fun yellow thread.

The quilting show up great on the yellow and white striped sheet Patrice used for the backing.

The other two quilts were flannels in a Canadian theme.  We decided on the Calder pantograph for both ...

Janice selected the Popcorn pantograph and a pretty peach thread for the quilting.  We used the Quilter's Dream Puff batting for some nice loft.

Ultimate Beginner Quilt x 2! from Night Owl Quilting

I recently had the opportunity to help two sisters finish quilts that they made "together" while apart during Covid restrictions.  They followed the Ultimate Beginner Quilt Sew Along by the Fat Quarter Shop.  It includes free block patterns along with You Tube videos to guide you.  Above is Crystal's quilt.  Below is Marja-liisa's.

I have to say that at first I didn't realize that they were made from the same pattern as the fabric selections and layout differences really make them look different.

This is only Crystal's second quilt and she selected the gingersnap pantograph.

Marja-lissa ...

Fading Charms from Night Owl Quilting

Reneta has been scrap busting again.  She made this pair of Fading Charm Quilts with the tutorial from Wedding Dress Blue.  We decided to quilt them with two different pantographs that had a similar feel.

The one with the grey background received an oldie but a goodie - the Popcorn pantograph.

The blue background received a pantograph that I haven't used all that much yet called Balcony.

This cheerful quilt was made by Christine. She chose the Curl and Swirl pantogrpah for this one.

This fun arrows quilt was made as mystery project in her sewing group.  no waste in this one as the scraps from the arrows were used in the border!  Christine chose the popcorn pantograph for this one.

Christine found the a flannel backing that complemented the top perfectly.
